Event description | This is a two part session suitable for all governors will cover the following: Role of Governors – operational v strategic Pupil Premium – what schools must publish History of Pupil Premium Purpose and eligibility for Pupil Premium 20 questions for Governors to ask re Pupil Premium Best practice – Sir John Dunford Sports Premium – purpose of... Sports Premium – what it can be used for and not used for What schools must publish – Pupil Premium and Sports Premium In addition to Pupil Premium and Sport Premium there will also be a focus on the new Catch up Premium and expectations linked to this Tuesday 9th November (part 1) and Wednesday 10th November (part 2) both at 6-7.15 pm This session will be delivered by Rory McCormack. Rory began teaching in the late 1970’s and taught in primary schools up until his retirement in July 2017. For over 28 years of that time he was headteacher of two schools, firstly in Reading and then for over 20 years at St Lawrence’s Catholic Primary School in Feltham. Since his retirement from headship, he has been working as an educational consultant and has led governor training both for Local Authorities and for individual schools.
