| Event description | As part of the overall judgment on the quality of the school’s leadership and management, Ofsted evaluate the effectiveness the governing board in holding the leadership and management of the school to account. This training session, aimed at governors, will give an overview of the Ofsted framework in relation to the role of governors. As a result, the aim is that governors will be equipped with knowledge, skills and practical tips to effectively execute their responsibilities and engage with inspectors during an inspection. The session is targeted at governors from all school settings, including maintained, academies and free schools This session will be run by Nigel Cook. Nigel has been a Headteacher in 3 schools, an ELP Principal Quality and Partnership Lead in Ealing, a School Improvement partner (SIP), an Ofsted inspector, an NLE (National Leadership in Education), and both a consultant head and School Improvement Senior Adviser in Buckinghamshire for 240 schools. |
