These termly sessions aim to provide an opportunity for clerks to share good practice as part of a networking opportunity. Each session will have a structured format focusing on best principles and practice. There will also be an opportunity to hear about key local and national changes/issues (hot topics) and an update on ELP .

Agendas will be published in advance of the session here and also on the Ealing GovernorHub noticeboard.

This session will be facilitated by Lesley Tucker (clerk) and Therese McNulty (Ealing governance lead).

Lesley Tucker has over twenty years’ experience of providing PA/Secretarial/Administrative support at the highest level in large organisations, including the Council Democratic Services, Election Services, Mayor’s Office (as a Presiding Officer), Children’s Services (including Youth and Connexions Service, School Workforce and Governance and School Improvement).  She has been a Clerk to governing boards for over 16 years, working in various schools and has served as a governor, and currently manages a private clerk services (Diamond Education Service), providing governance and clerking support to governing boards of state schools and Academies. In addition she has worked with a wide range of public, voluntary and private groups, scheduling and running meetings, and leading on conferences, training and mentoring to adults and young people.
