| Event description | Professionals are informed about and feel confident to proactively support people who may be experiencing honour based abuse in line with best practice approaches and responsibilities. | ||
| Training objectives | By the end of this workshop attendees will have: •Understand the different forms of Honour based Abuse • Understand and work with the links with coercive and controlling behaviour • Enhance knowledge around different preventative measures that can be used e.g Forced Marriage Protection orders (FMPOs) • Increase awareness of implications for those victims impacted by No recourse to public funds(NRPF) • Enable learners to conduct risk assessments in relation to and Honour Abuse/Violence • Understand the importance of safety and support planning • Have a wider knowledge of national & local services |
